Dennis O’Keefe - Mayor
Dennis O’Keefe is a 45-year resident of Franklin Park and is currently serving his twelfth year as Mayor. As Mayor, he is primarily in charge of our Police Department and works closely with Council on Borough business. Dennis is extremely proud of the Police Department’s reputation and many accomplishments.
Dennis spent 33 years in the airline industry as a Customer Service Manager for what is now American Airlines. In 1993, Dennis joined Lenzner Coach Lines as a General Manager. In 2002, Dennis moved to the Pittsburgh Transportation Group where he served as General Manager and Director of Business Development until his retirement in 2015.
Dennis married his childhood friend and high school sweetheart Marjorie in 1962; they raised three sons and have nine grandchildren. Dennis became Mayor of Franklin Park in 2010 and has served in that role ever since. The Mayor and Borough Council have tackled many challenging issues during those twelve years; their leadership led to Franklin Park being named the #1 municipality in Pennsylvania two years in a row by USA Today.

Tom Schwartzmier - Borough Council
Tom Schwartzmier is a life-long resident of the North Hills and attended North Allegheny Schools for grades 1-12. Tom graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania. He is married with 2 adult children.
Tom spent his working career managing large complex construction projects. He served on the North Allegheny School Board for 10 years from 2005-2015. Tom is a Board member and Secretary for Caring Heart Ministries (Mexico). He is also a Life member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
As a member of Borough Council, Tom supported the on-going development of our 4 Borough Parks. He currently serves as Council’s 2nd Vice President and as the Borough’s representative to the North Hills Council of Government.
Tom provided input to Franklin Park VFC during the design of the new Fire Station. He actively participated in the selection of the new Borough Manager, Police Chief and Borough Engineer.
